The U.S. Congress Tell Us What To Eat…

The U.S. Congress can tell us what to eat; at least according to the left’s interpretation of The Commerce Clause. If you remember your legal history, in Wickard v. Filburn in 1942, the U.S. Supreme Court decide that under The Commerce Clause; the federal government could penalize a farmer for growing wheat and consuming it privately because it could affect the price of wheat in another state. This was the beginning of the government’s overreach, and the rationalization for ObamaCare. Following that line of reasoning, if the government can tell us to purchase healthcare, then it should be able to tell us what to eat. As usual, busybody liberals (and their immature thought process – see June 8 posting) have avoided the unintended consequences scenario.
